A Photo Thank You Card – Father Matthew, Saskatoon, SK

The inside middle panel was left blank to pen a personal note and customized quotes were added to the inside left and right panels.

On June 10th, 2011 with an astonishing 1200 in attendance, Mathew became Father Mathew in a traditional Catholic ceremony held at St. Patrick Parish, Diocese of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. A reception followed at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall.

The event was the culmination of 9 years of study and training. Father Mathew was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from family, friends and the Catholic Community and by the love and joy that he experienced.

FR. Matthew’s memorable moments:

“Lying face down in from of the altar while the entire church prays (sign of surrender, commitment, reliance on God), feeling incredible joy, I was also struck by the wonderful people who came out, especially my 85 and 90 year old grandmas, two bishops (one Roman Catholic and one Ukrainian Catholic), several chiefs from First Nations communities in Saskatchewan and Alberta.”

FR. Matthew’s aspirations moving forward?

“Practically speaking, I’m serving as a priest at St. Philip Neri Parish in Saskatoon. I find it shockingly humbling the way people will ask a priest to come into the most intimate moments of their lives–birth, death, marriage, suffering, joy. I want to reverence those moments and help people to find hope, meaning, God in those intimate moments and the more simple moments of their lives.”

Why CQ Cards?

People were very generous to me, so I wanted to give at least a high quality thank you card. I like the three-panel option, customization, and not being stuck with just any ordinary outline or message. Photos, wording, and three-panel format were important features.

A Wedding Thank You Card – Jackie and Ryan from Ancaster, ON

Jackie arrived in style to her chic country wedding in a stretch limo piloted by an incredible chauffeur. He not only helped calm her but fluffed her hair and ensured her train was flowing the correct way for her walk down the aisle where Ryan anxiously waited.

Modern elements were infused with the country feel, creating a relaxed cozy atmosphere for all their guests. Wheat and birch wood were featured as the main theme. A burst of fall colour hepled bring the outside inside. It was a perfect showcase for their love.

The tables were adorned with tea lights in beautiful birch candle holders and charmed centerpieces of wheat in vases filled with coffee beans. Each was enveloped with a piece of the red bridesmaids dress.

Guests raved over the bride’s electric blue shoes creating a perfect conversation piece, and doubling as her ‘something blue’!

A special table was created to the memory of the groom’s mother letting everyone know how much she meant to the family without having to say anything.

Jackie’s advice to future brides –

Don’t stress over the small things, remember the most important part of the day is you are marrying your best friend, nothing else matters!

Why CQ Cards?

I loved my wedding invitations (from CQ Cards) so much there was no need to look anywhere else. I knew already that their service would be friendly, professional, economical with fast turnaround. CQ Cards is one of a kind!

A Wedding Thank You Card – Maggie and Elvis from Mississauga ON

Autumn’s majestic hues of orange, red and yellow provided a spectacular backdrop for Maggie and Elivis’ October wedding at the Credit Valley Golf and Country Club in Mississauga.

The reception for their 130 close friends and family was awash in their colour scheme of eggplant and silver/cream and a touch of sparkle everywhere! Crystal candalabras full of roses and hydrangeas adorned the tables, each with five arms and flickering candles. The hall was also illuminated with candles in crystal holders.

Crystal bands added more sparkle on the brides bouquet , the back of each chair covering and the napkins rings on the table. To complete the theme, crystal bands were also placed around each layer of the beautiful wedding cake!

A unique, memorable moment for the couple:

The golf and country club provided carts to chauffeur the wedding party to the green where, in the beautiful solitude of the Credit River Valley,  pictures were captured with caddies while the wedding party pretended to play golf!

Maggie’s advice for future brides:

Decide on your gown as well as the brides maids dresses early as they do not always arrive on time and this is the last thing you need to stress about before your wedding. Don’t try to do everything yourself, if other people offer to help accept all the help you can get.

Why CQ Cards?

We decided to go with CQ cards because of the ability to add our own photos and personal message to create a unique looking card that all our guests would treasure!

A Wedding Thank You Card – Julie and Gabor from Toronto, ON

A choreographed first dance kicked off the evening in a room of ivory and white, accented with flower pot centre pieces, roses and blue irises. Children were delighted to find their tables garnished with colourful candy centre piece bouquets and even more excited to participate in the unique teddy bear toss which was organized to involve the couple’s daughter in their wedding!

The couple’s focus was on friends, family, love and the happiness of living in the moment. What better way to start wedded life!

Melissa’s advice to future brides –

Don’t get too stressed out.  Whatever happens will happen. Also do what you want as a couple and don’t be influenced by what other family or friends want or think is best.

Why CQ Cards?

We found CQ cards on the internet and were impressed with the unique designs and affordable costs.  Invitations often get lost or thrown out, but the thank you cards should be lasting.  With CQ card designs that allow for multiple pictures, we can make our thank you cards into a mini memory album for our guests. Having multiple pictures on folding panel paper stock is brilliant.  Hopefully our guests will keep the card as a memento which will last.  Adding a personalized message also adds to the unique feature.

Remembrance Card – Ken, Toronto ON

At an intimate service, family and close friends gathered in remembrance of their loved one, Ken. The 23rd Psalm was read, lending comfort to their loss. Sons and grandsons proudly stood as pallbearers for a man known as a good man, a kind and loving man. Family was the most important thing in Ken’s life. He was honorable and honest, a great friend to all who knew him.

At the gravesite, which was adorned by the red poppy in in honor of Ken’s war service  and symbolizing death, renewal and life, family and friends gathered and reflected on the many sentimental memories.

Ken will be dearly missed but never forgotten. His love for his family remains in their hearts and in the legacy he leaves behind.

Son’s advice during this difficult time –

Do want you need to do to ease the pain.

Why CQ Cards?

CQ cards has done our Christmas cards and the response to our Christmas cards has been excellent.  We wanted to say thank you to the people who attended the funeral or made a donation, in a unique way.  We wanted to use the photos of Ken to be part of the thank you process and to send them as one last reminder of him.  Many people who received the cards commented on how nice they were and some have ordered them for their family remembrance cards.

A Wedding Thank You Card – Melissa and Evan from Mississauga ON

For Melissa and Evan, a wedding in the tropical oasis of the Riviera Maya, Mexico could not have been more unique. The couple love to travel and thought it would be a great opportunity to ‘force’ their family and friends into a big vacation! And to show their appreciation to all their guests for making the trip to be there with them on their special day, they greeted everyone with personalized welcome bags/survival kits upon arrival.

A gentle ocean breeze,  a mariachi band , and a glorious sunset became an illuminated backdrop of pink, orange and lime green for the reception held on the pool deck. Guests soon forgot the familiar cold Canadian Christmas they normally have! ! Melissa conceded, that in any other circumstances, the compilation of those colours might be considered tacky, but in that setting, it was absolutely perfect.

As a special added touch, guests were treated to indulgent cigars, and pashminas, in case they felt a chill into the evening hours.  The wedding was so personalized and intimate that everyone felt truly appreciated and loved their time in Mexico!

The Bride’s special memory of her wedding day –

We had a junior bridesmaid. She was my 7 month old niece who was walked down the aisle by my sister. She stole the show on the day and looked like an absolute angel in her dress!

Melissa’s advice to future brides –

Do destination! It is easier to plan, cheaper and waaaay less stressful than a regular wedding! We were assigned to a wedding coordinator at the resort who planned everything for us. Her name was Ana and she made our wedding everything that it was and more!

Why CQ Cards?

I liked the treo design with CQ Cards the best. I liked the prompt response and ease of ordering the cards online. Photos were the most important and having them layed out in a way that was visually appealing. The square card is very elegant and I think that having the option to have the name printed into the card is a great personalized touch. They look beautiful and I am excited for the response from the recipients of each card!

A Wedding Thank You Card – Matt and Julia from Winnepeg, MB

It was a magical, winter fairytale wedding amidst the majestic, snow tipped Rocky Mountains at Chateau Lake Louise. The Victoria Ballroom was lavishly draped in white chiffon and aglow in washes of light blue. At the alter, Matt anticipated Julia’s arrival under two 16ft white trees adorned with crystals and lights and accented by a white crystal canopy. When the bride entered, white snowflakes were cast onto the shimmering white aisle, which was lined with glass cylinders and floating candles. The atmosphere was made complete with a string Quartet playing a compilation of romantic Disney songs during the ceremony.

At the reception, a snow machine produced a light snowfall that enveloped the couple during their first dance as husband and wife. The room was then transformed into a NYE dance party complete with contrast LED lighting and Emulator DJ system! When the clock struck twelve guests threw gold and silver finger flingers to bring in the New Year and celebrate the future Mat and Julie would share.

Julie’s advice to future brides –

If you want something on your wedding day write it down, in fact ALWAYS carry a notebook with you at all times during the months of planning for when ideas pop in your head.

Why CQ Cards?

We received a card from our friends Ashley and Devin and loved the quality and how well they represented the day.
